Movable Modular High Tunnel Shade Workshop

Kayla Preston of Grow Appalachia will lead workshop participants in the construction of a 14’x16’ Movable Modular High Tunnel outfitted with shade cloth instead of plastic to serve as a shade house. In addition to hands-on experience in building an MMHT, workshop members will receive an overview of the use of MMHTs in small-scale agriculture, and a tour of the four high tunnels and greenhouse already in use on the Berea Urban Farm.

 Enrollment is limited to 10 people. A $10 registration fee (payable at the event) are required. Lunch and snacks are provided. Participants should dress for the weather and wear work boots and work gloves.
