Preparations In mid September
To begin preparations, the gardening spot was chosen and the grassy area was covered with a silage tarp. This killed out the grass and made the gardening spot easy to prepare.
Preparations On 31 October
I made the garlic bed and planted a field of Georgian Crystal Garlic. As of today the garlic is about 5” tall. In June, the garlic scapes will be harvested to let the garlic put more energy into the bulbs. The current expected timeline to harvest date for the bulbs will be late July.
